We hope you've all had a lovely summer, and look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday 6th September.
Start dates for Reception children can be found on the Full Calendar (accessed either from the Information menu above, or follow the link at the foot of the diary on this page ~ then click on 6th September for 'more information')
Work started on refurbishing the kitchen over the summer; it won't be finished for a few weeks, but school meals will still be served as normal.
Year 1 also have a new door, making it much easier for Oak Class to get into the playground (this isn't the new door obviously, it's just a sheet of wood, but you get the idea)
It was great to have the KS2 Swimming Gala again, with some great individual and team performances:
Queen Titania and Bottom win the Hampton Court Scarecrow competition!
Well done to Gardening Club, whose fantastic scarecrow won the Hampton Court Flower Show Schools' Scarecrow competition for the 2nd time in 3 years:
Year 5 picked and ate what was ready on their allotment, and had their '5 a day' in just a few minutes:
Our new Reception children visited their new classes and then had a Teddy Bears' Picnic, organised by the PA:
We had glorious weather for the Summer Fete, which broke all records and raised over £6,000
It's that time of the year when everything starts to get carried away on the allotment :

The allotment didn't stop growing just because it was the holidays . . . there was lots to pick, and luckily there were some children at Clubland available and keen to help. There will still be plenty ready to be harvested in a few weeks time.
A lovely Leavers' Assembly gave Year 6 the opportunity to reflect on their time at Claygate, and they did it in their own inimitable way! Good luck to everyone as they head off to their 13 different secondary schools. You've been a fantastic 'bulge'!
Rainmaker, Year 6's production, was a fantastic way to end the year - definitely the most vibrant and colourful performance ever!

Surrey cricket champions!
Claygate's Kwik Cricket team triumphed in the County Finals at Epsom College, winning every game to become Surrey champions! They then progressed to the SE Regional Finals at Sussex CCC's ground at Hove, reaching the semi-finals and finishing third overall. A great season for the team!
Year 1's The Little Pirate's Adventure was fabulous, with lots of parents dressing up as pirates too! (sadly, there are no photos of this)
Sports Days took place over three days of glorious weather:
A great time was had by all in Bude:
